Your engine's coolant/antifreeze performs two vital operations: keeping the engine from
overheating while running, and keeping the engine from freezing in the cold winter
months. Your engine's coolant, or antifreeze, helps to draw heat away from the engine so
that it maintains the correct operating temperature and does not overheat. Continually
checking to make sure that your vehicle has the correct amount of coolant, and having the
cooling system flushed on a regular basis will increase your engine's life and help
decrease the chances of a vehicle breakdown related to your engine's cooling system.
